Environmental Paper Commitment

At DRSi, we take our commitment to environmental stewardship seriously. Therefore, our house paper selection includes FSC certified papers. The following FSC certification information highlights the highly stringent requirements these papers must meet.

In order to gain FSC certification, there are 10 FSC-set principles, along with 57 FSC-set criteria that a product must meet. In general these principles and criteria address legal issues, indigenous rights, correct product documentation, planned forest management, labor rights, forest management environmental impacts, chain of custody monitoring, conservation and benefits that ensure economic viability and a range of environmental and social benefits.

FSC Definition:

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), is a non-profit organization that sets certain high standards to make sure that forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible and socially beneficial manner. If a product is labeled as “FSC Certified,” it means that the wood used and the manufacturer that made it met the stringent requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council.
